Joe Maye began his vocal career performing covers on the bay with Spirit Cruise Line’s at the Inner Harbor in Baltimore. Prior to that, Joe dabbled in commercial modeling and photography. Motivated to make a career of his odd sense of creativity and sultry voice, Joe released his first EP, Set Free, in October 2012. (Now available for download on iTunes.) 
Since then, Joe has delivered crowd pleasing performances for events such as Drink the District’s Red, White and Brew Fest and in venues such as Smith Commons and Ebenezer’s Coffeehouse. Joe also performed alongside RatheMC in a crowd-­‐pleasing performance for BYT’s Super Sampler at the Hamilton Live in DC. 
It would be unrealistic to fit Joe’s sound into one genre. His music is a combination of rock, alternative, and R&B, which he terms HIP POP AND RHYTHMIC BLUES.
